Evenspeak was formed nearly four years ago...the pieces put into motion by our bass player...Paul LaBrie and our rhythm guitarist...Frank LaFord. JB joined the duo during the early summer of 2004, leaving behind the karaoke business he ran with a good friend to become the lead singer, and Evenspeak was officially birthed. Throughout the following year JB, Paul and Frank would work with a handful of musicians before finding their new drummer...Harold "Tiger" Parker, bringing a uniqueness to the bands' already orignally defining sound. The band has been going steady since...with cameo appearances by their good friend Mike Yucka on lead guitar and the sensational vocal stylings of Carolyn Salls. The band hails from Western Massachussetts.
The range of music that inspires the band to write is absolutely astounding. their influences come from all walks of life. To list them all would take forever and a day...but here's just a taste. JB listens to the likes of Elvis an and The Wonder Kid blues man Jonny Lang along with more contemporary artists like Tori Amos. Paul 's interests range from bands like Judas Priest to bands like Screamin Cheetah Wheelies and Jeff Healey. Some of Frank's favorites include The Beatles and Dave Matthews. Tiger has a variety of musical interests stemming from today and yesterday's country straight through Testament and Alice In Chains, whereas Mike prefers the artistic sides of Dream Theatre and the thundering sounds of Metallica.
